Steve Erenberg
The Museum curator from the Bakken Library and Museum in Minneapolis has described Steve Erenberg's collection as "worth serious attention and consideration." The collection has also piqued the attention of a New York Times writer enough to warrant a full-page descriptive article.
This collection of oddball and scary stuff represents over thirty years of searching worldwide for extraordinary mechanical, electronic, musical and industrial items that have, irrespective of their primary use, a strong visual appeal. He acquired many different objects from museums, hospitals, clinics, and laboratories throughout the world. Industrial masks, helmets, anatomical models, peculiar scientific contraptions, and electrostatic devices all have aesthetic qualities that transcend their original application. Collectors, dealers, gallery owners and those captivated by the unusual or bizarre will now have an opportunity to see a sampling of this extraordinary assemblage in one place.
Steve Erenbergg started his career by working for famous industrial designer, Raymond Lowy and went on to be a creative director, sculptor, and painter. These skills and interests which developed his ability to find industrial objects that have unique sculptural qualities.
